LG 55LHX - 54.6" LCD TV with wireless media receiver - widescreen - 1080p (FullHD) - LED Backlight technology - HDTV - black
This is a perfect HDTV set with a great wireless media console which avoids the necessity of having a million wires going up to the screen unit. The wireless connection to the screen works flawlessly with absolutely no interference-induced flickering, but I have my console right in front of the set. Come to think of it, where else would I put it when I want to control the television set while I am watching it?
The picture is sharp and bright, and it has loads of wonderful features. It is backlit with local dimming, and this set really does have “blacker blacks.” The contrast ratio is 5 million to one. Setup was a breeze.
The only thing I want to mention is that Best Buy is selling this same HDTV for $2999.98 including delivery and setup, five hundred dollars cheaper than Amazon is offering it. That is a surprise to me, because Amazon normally has the lowest prices.

VIZIO VF551XVT 55-Inch XVT-Series TruLED 240 Hz SPS HDTV
I researched many high end LCD blacklit TV’s before I decided to purchase the VIZIO VF551XVT 55 Inch TruLED 240 Hz SPS HDTV. This particular model has the same quality and features found in current high-end Samsung and LG Models but at almost half the price.
The carrier service that delivered the TV was excellent. They brought the TV from the delivery truck into my home and unpacked it and placed it in my living room for me. They also took away the packing materials when they left.
I hooked my XBox, Blu-Ray DVD Player, Amplifier, and HD Cable Box to this TV quite easily. The instructions that came with the TV were very clear and easy to understand. I was able to program the remote control that came with this TV to operate my cable box, amplifier and DVD player in no time with minimal effort. I just followed the instructions in the manual.
I am very pleased with this TV. The picture is awesome, the features are great, the quality is excellent and it didn’t cost a fortune. I give it five stars.

Toshiba REGZA Cinema Series 46SV670U 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with LED Backlight and ClearScan 240, Black
I purchased a new Regza in June 2009. Three months later the picture has vertical blue lines and when red is displayed, I get vertical red lines running from top to bottom. They fade in and out when each color is displayed on the screen. Very distracting for an expensive TV. I called Toshiba and they didn’t seem to care. I looked on you tube and found others that have the same problems.
Would I buy another Toshiba Regza ? Hell no.
Now, I have to find a repair center and haul it over there. Lucky me.
I think I’ll try Samsung LED next. No more LCD’s
If you own a Regza now, better hope is doesn’t start the vertical line crap.
